Matri offers two different versions of the Hilja bed: Hilja Classic and the even more luxurious Hilja Continental.
Hilja Classic is a sleek Nordic frame bed made from eco-certified natural materials. This guarantees an exceptionally clean, breathable and safe sleeping environment.
The Hilja bed frame is made from sustainably grown, FSC certified solid coniferous wood. The coconut coir used for surface support and side padding adds firmness while the soft, natural Talalay latex provides support. The double boxspring system relieves pressure and allows the mattress to conform perfectly to the body.
Hilja beds have been proven safe and non-toxic, also by the German testing body SGS-TÜV Saar.
Breathable structure
Hilja Classic is a bed made solely from eco-certified natural materials. Its frame of sustainably grown, FSC-certified solid coniferous wood is complemented with a padding of airy, dust mite resistant and long-lasting Talalay natural latex and breathable coconut coir. Coconut coir is renowned for its superb innate moisture-wicking properties.
Responsive ergonomics
Hilja Classic’s highly responsive combination of boxspring and Bonnell lower spring systems conforms perfectly to the contours, weight and movements of your body. You’ll find your ideal balance of softness and support by choosing either a medium or firm mattress tension. We also recommend testing the bed in person before making your final decision.
Durable springs
The durable double boxspring system of the Hilja bed is made from hardened steel and holds the LGA certification for quality. The more the boxsprings are compressed, the stronger support they provide. The Bonnell lower spring system complements the boxspring system and expands the springs’ range of movement.

Responsive ergonomics
The Hilja Continental bed has a double spring system, which supports your sleeping body in just the right places. To make the bed perfectly soft or sturdy for each sleeper, you can choose a different tension for the different sides of the mattress, either medium or firm. To find your ideal solution, we recommend you take your time testing out the options in person.

The carefully selected materials of our Hilja beds have natural properties to promote a healthy sleeping environment. The bed frame is made from FSC certified solid coniferous wood and upholstered with soft and flexible organic cotton knit. Organic cotton, grown without toxic chemicals, has a smaller environmental footprint than regular cotton. The pure and natural Talalay latex of the padding is extremely breathable and durable. The coconut coir used for surface support and side padding has excellent moisture wicking properties. The high-quality, German-made boxspring system is made from hardened steel, which guarantees the bed a long life.
A Hilja mattress topper adds the final touch to your comfortable bed. The mattress topper made from natural Talalay latex comes with a removable cover that can be split into two parts, making it easy to wash at 40°C. We recommend a mild, ecological detergent without bleaching agents.
